The Busy Person’s Career Booster

Laura Avila, Dardis graduate

How can you boost your career through Dardis training when you’re busy?

Our clients have provided a clear answer: combine in-person training with virtual courses. This allows you to make the most of our premiere coaching, fitting it into your schedule and pacing the instruction so it sticks.

Take Laura Avila, an HR Relationship Manager for Southeast Toyota Distributors in Jacksonville, Fla. Laura started her Dardis experience with an in-person program that she loved. She followed it up with virtual training to get additional support. This rounded out her Dardis education nicely and easily fit into her schedule.

“The virtual and in-person training work really well together because that’s real life,” Laura said. “There are different tweaks and tips you need to be mindful of for virtual communication.”

Surprisingly, more professionals haven’t been trained in online presentation skills, she said. They are sorely needed.

Looking back, Laura can see the value in her layered approach to Dardis training. “Combining both is the most impactful,” she said. “You’re going to need to communicate effectively in person and virtually. I don’t think you can do one without the other.”

She recognizes how well-rounded her training was. “There are things I wouldn’t have learned in person that I learned virtually—and vice versa.”

Now Laura feels excited to implement these vital skills. “I left feeling empowered to make those changes,” she said.

She’s inspired to push past the status quo, to not simply coast in her career.

“With the hustle and bustle of work, it’s easy to just get by,” Laura said. But this layered training fit into her schedule and had a big impact. “You get better results when you have sharper communication skills. They drive you forward and help you achieve your goals.”

And that feels so rewarding, she said. “You go home at the end of the day and feel good about the work you did. I can’t overemphasize the fact that Dardis is a company I would recommend very highly to anyone who wants to do some fine-tuning or start from square one.”
