How to Counter All That Stress

This is such a busy season. It’s easy to feel behind—on emails, on sleep, on life.

However, expressing gratitude can counteract that stress. Taking a few minutes to reflect on what you’re grateful for instantly boosts your mood. Research shows gratitude offers a host of mental and physical benefits: warding off depression, lessening anxiety and improving sleep. Keeping a gratitude journal can even cause a significant drop in blood pressure. You can read our team’s gratitude journal for 2023 below.

A Personal Note From the Dardis Team

“I’m thankful that everyone in my family is healthy, happy and having fun! My children are growing up so fast that my wife and I are thankful for every moment we have with them living their best lives as kids!”

Tyson Greiner, Vice President

“There are 3 main items I am grateful for in 2023. First, my family. Family is at the center for me. They are my best friends, my favorite people and my support. Second, I am thankful for the health of my family and me. 2023 gifted our family a year free from battling serious illness. Third, I am super grateful for my work. I get to work with an amazing group of people all dedicated to delivering top-notch professional development. Bring on 2024!”

Angie Bennett, Senior Vice President

“In the tapestry of life, our gratitude weaves a vibrant thread that binds us to our diverse and cherished families. Within the warm embrace of our family, we discover the profound beauty of unconditional love, where every moment shared is a priceless treasure.

Our community family, a mosaic of neighbors and friends, shows us the strength of unity and the power of collective support. Together, we build a sanctuary of shared dreams and common purpose.

In the corporate family, colleagues become allies, and mentors become guiding stars—fostering growth resilience, and a sense of belonging within the bustling world of business.

And last but certainly not least, our family of clients, the heartbeats of our professional journey. Their trust fuels our passion, and their satisfaction is our most cherished reward, reminding us that success is a collective endeavor.

I am so grateful to all my family members.”

Paul Johnson, Vice President

“This year I am extremely grateful to be able to work with such great people on our team and our loyal customers. The support and guidance our team provides truly help bring out the best in everyone, and it is wonderful to watch unfold.

Although I’m grateful to live in Iowa, I always look forward to our family vacations every year. This year we traveled to Florida for some fun, sun and relaxation. Whether it be jumping in the waves, going to pumpkin patches, or watching some Hawkeye football, it is a joy to be able to spend some time with these people I’m lucky enough to call family.”

Ashley Dardis, Director of Accounting

“As I reflect on 2023, I am grateful for a few things. I am grateful for moments of fun and pure magic with my kids. I am grateful for my health and that of my loved ones. I am grateful for rewarding work that I love. I am grateful for creative outlets and hobbies and friends who cheer me on. I am grateful for the power that technology has to make family who lives far away seem closer. I am grateful to be an American. I am grateful for my faith.”

Christina Davis, Senior Instructor

“2023 has been a year of abundant blessing. I am so very thankful for my family and friends scattered across the United States and internationally. Although I’m not a native Iowan, it has really become our home. I’m not sure that I will ever truly enjoy Iowa winters, but good friends and family always make it better!

I am so happy to join the Dardis Communications family this year—what a fantastic group of colleagues that has welcomed me with open arms. 2024 will be even more abundantly blessed!”

Priya Mezhir, Client Services Manager

“The secret to staying young at heart is to keep learning and to keep laughing. This Thanksgiving, I’m grateful for the people who allow me to do exactly that. Every day brings a new adventure!

Thank you to our clients who entrust us with this work. Your talent and commitment to excellence amaze me. Thank you to the Dardis team for giving your very best. You inspire me every day. And thank you to my four kids and amazing wife. You are my rock!”
