We recently said goodbye to Andrea (Andi) Hild, our Client Services Manager, who has chosen to retire. We are honored to have marked the latest chapter in Andi’s impressive career.
Andi joined our team in 2013 and served us well every day. She arrived with more than 25 years of customer service experience, having spent the majority of that time with the Principal Financial Group and the United Services Automobile Association.
As Dardis’ Client Services Manager, Andi put in an incredible amount of work to keep everything together. Andi worked tirelessly to create a positive experience for our clients. Her humility, intelligence and grace made her a perfect fit for the job.
“Andi was truly committed 1000 percent to the client experience,” Senior Vice President Maria Volante said. “She paid hawk-like attention to all the little details to keep them from becoming big issues. Her diligence started with the planning process and all the logistical requirements, to getting all the materials prepared and delivered, to ensuring that all attendees received the ability to provide feedback and receive our follow-up newsletter and reminders.”
We relied on Andi’s diligence. “There was no detail or issue too small to not get her full attention,” Maria said. “All of Andi’s efforts created a seamless experience for our learners, which is always our goal.”
Making each client feel valued is another goal at Dardis that guided Andi. “Every client was a VIP client for Andi,” said Vice President of Sales Angie Bennett. “Customer service was a top priority for her, both personally and professionally.”
Her commitment to the company will be sorely missed, Angie said. “Dardis wasn’t a job for Andi – it was like her extended family. She kept an eye on our flights, checked in on us and made sure she did everything in her power to prevent surprises in our set-up and travel.”
We wish Andi the very best in her retirement. She and her husband live in Norwalk, IA, where they are active in the community. Andi loves spending time with her granddaughter, volunteering at her church, and helping with a range of service projects.
Meanwhile, we warmly welcome Andi’s successor, Jan Hoffmann, who has 35 years of experience in administration and senior executive management. She has hit the ground running!
The idea behind Cal Newport’s bestseller “So Good They Can’t Ignore You” dovetails with our approach here at Dardis: Practical skills matter (so sharpen yours today!). The Georgetown professor hints at this in the subtitle of the book: “Why Skills Trump Passion in the Quest for Work You Love.” Passion alone doesn’t promise you the career of your dreams, Newport writes. Rather, you must master the skills that make you a true pro. He urges readers to develop a “craftsman mindset” where you treat your career as an opportunity to acquire rare and valuable skills. This fascinating book will refresh your perspective!
“I presented the WHOLE HR portion on our global company update last week. I had 12 minutes to present on a variety of topics. I was nervous but practiced a lot and remembered your tips. After watching the video replay, I can say that I did great! Thank you for all of your coaching help and support. It is really helping me present myself as professional and genuine.”
